Seesaw Preschool
Seesaw Preschool
We are a long-established local committee run charitable organization providing care and education to children aged 2 to 4 years old from Cambridge and the surrounding area. Our priority at Seesaw Preschool is to give children from the local and extended community the tools they need to learn and grow.
We aim to provide a safe and stimulating environment for your child, providing a range of different activities to encourage their personal development. At the same time, we are committed to providing flexible, affordable, quality childcare to all families.
As a charity we are a purpose not profit business, we have no shareholders and are here to serve the community. Any profits beyond operational costs are reinvested back into the preschool.
We are rated 'GOOD' in all areas by Ofsted. Read our report here.
Our preschool is open from 9am until 3pm, Monday to Friday Term Time. The morning session runs from 9am until 12noon and the afternoon session 12noon until 3pm. Children can also benefit from our all day sessions from 9am until 3pm.
We can be flexible if you want to drop your child off at a slightly later time or pick up before the end of the session. However we do appreciate it if you avoid collecting during the last 15 minutes of the session as we find it disrupts story time for other children.
We follow the government funded term dates, please note these are subject to change. We are open 38 weeks a year and have an Autumn Term, Spring Term and Summer Term similar to the schools. Please look out for further details on these dates under the News header.
To register your child's place at our nursery, request a prospectus or to ask any questions, please feel free to call us on 01223 244111 or email manager@seesawpreschool.org.uk
If you feel you may be entitled to free childcare via government funding but are unsure how to apply please contact us and we will do our best to help you with this process.
We currently have spaces available for both 15 and 30 hours for children aged 2 to 4 years so please get in touch, we'd love to hear from you.
Currently we charge £15.00 per 3 hour session for over 3's and £18.00 per 3 hour session for 2 year olds, this is in addition to government funded hours. From the term after their 3rd birthday, all 3 and 4 year olds are funded for 15 hours per week by the government and some may be eligible for 30 hours funding.
